Chicken manchurian
Ingredients
Chicken - 300g
Red chilli -4- 5
Corn flour - 2 Tsp for batter and 1 tsp for slurry
Maida or all purpose flour - 2 Tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp for batter and 1 tsp for gravy
Ginger - 1tsp
Garlic - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 big finely chopped
Capsicum - 1 small finely chopped
Tomato sauce -1 Tsp
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Vinegar - 1tsp
Spring onion
Oil for frying
Salt
Method
To boiled water,add red chillies. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Once cooled, grind it to a fine paste to make the red chilli paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add the ground chilli paste, saute till the oil separates. Move it to a bowl.
Marination
Make a medium thick batter with cornflour, maida ,pepper powder and salt.
Coat the chicken pieces with the batter. Fry them to a golden brown and remove them on to a tissue to soak up the excess oil.
Heat oil in a pan , add finely chopped ginger and garlic. saute it to soft state, add onion and capsicum saute to translucent state.
To it add red chilli paste, tomato sauce,soya sauce, pepper powder, vinegar and salt.
Add the cornflour slurry and the chicken pieces. Mix thoroughly.
Add hot water to adjust the consistency of gravy .
Finish with chopped spring onion and cook for 2 minutes and serve it hot...🔥
