Ingredients
Milk -500 ml(take 1/4 cup from this for mixing with custard powder)
Bread -4 slices
Vanilla custard powder- 2Tsp
Sugar- 1/4 cup for caramel & 1/2 cup to add to milk
Method
Heat a pan ,put sugar to it and caramelise. Pour this in to a baking tin
Remove the edges of the bread and cut in to squares and grind it...
Mix 1/4 cup of milk with custard powder and keep aside..
Heat milk in a pan , add sugar and the custard mixture and cook till it thickens..slowly add the grinded bread to it and allow the mixture to thicken..
Pour it in to the baking tin with caramel and cover it with aluminum foil and steam it for 20 minutes in a steamer..
After cooling down keep in the refrigerator for 2 hours..
Cut and serve the custard...
